The employees of Parenta are continuously coming up with fresh ideas to raise money for the Trust, with some of them even getting together in small groups to help the cause. So far, the Trust has raised enough money for 4 pre-schools, with 2 already built and the 3rd and 4th in build at the moment. Each school can cater for between 150 – 200 children, meaning that we’ve already raised enough money to give over 600 youngsters an education in East Africa!
How we’ve done it
Our amazing Customer Care Team completed a Maidstone to Paris triathlon in which they took turns to run, row and cycle the distance (240 miles) – all in between answering the phones and carrying out their daily roles. The challenge took 23 hours and 12 minutes, raising £531.75.
Our Marketing Team have also been getting active by taking part in the 2015 10k Major Series and raising £100 for the Trust. Natalie, our copywriter, also completed a ½ marathon in Bedgebury the year before, raising a further £315.
The entire business has also participated in BBQs, sweepstakes and contributed to the tuck shop, which is available on every floor of the Parenta building.
We also hold an annual banger rally which starts at our office in Maidstone and finishes in Monaco. In 2015, the teams who participated in this event raised an incredible £13,000! To register your interest in joining us for the next one, please visit our website.
How you can get involved
Sponsor a child
Sponsorship costs just £17 and provides a child in Uganda with their pre-school education, a school uniform, a daily hot meal, a Christmas gift and school supplies. You’ll receive personalised information about how the child is doing and handwritten Christmas cards from him/her. Sponsoring a child is very rewarding and something that many of our staff at Parenta are already a part of – you can find out more about how to sponsor a child here.
Sign up to our banger rally
Our next rally will take place on 21st – 25th June 2017. To get involved, all you need to do is get a group of people together, purchase a car worth no more than £400 and then prepare for the adventure of a lifetime! We also ask that each team raises £1000 for the Trust prior to participating; you can find out more or register your interest here.
